Review of tourist shops in Moscow

Which store in Moscow has low prices for camping equipment (tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, etc.)? I have selected several potentially the most interesting stores and wholesale and retail companies in Moscow that sell tourist equipment: Sportmaster-Diskont, Shopping Center Extreme, the Turin company chain of stores, Start-1, Prostor-2000, the wholesale and retail store Turgalantereya, the wholesale and retail company Oborontekh, the wholesale and retail warehouse Biont-Lux, the Alpindustriya chain of stores. Naturally, The range of travel equipment in all stores is different and, as usual, it is not so easy to compare. Nevertheless, I tried to find similar products and compare their prices. I will say a few general things at once. Firstly, in Sportmaster-Discount there is nothing but clothes. Some kind of pitiful tent, a sleeping bag and a couple of pots. Although, in principle, it is expected. Probably the most famous place to buy camping equipment is the shopping center Extreme. A large, 3-story, in my opinion, shopping center, where you can probably find everything you need for different types of tourism, including water, mountain, etc. However, prices there, by definition, cannot be unambiguously low, because medium and small companies that simply rent space trade. Therefore, I focused on wholesale and retail companies that can offer lower prices. What I liked most was the company Defense Tech. They specialize in products for hunters, fishermen and tourists. The selection is good and the prices are excellent. Another quite interesting chain of stores Turin. This is already purely for tourists, there are several shops around Moscow, a good selection and prices are quite low. However, the products that I compared are higher than in Defense Tech. Another well-known manufacturer of travel equipment also came into view - NovaTour. However, I did not find their own retail store; their website lists several dozen Moscow stores where you can find their products. So:

1. Wholesale and retail company Defense Tech

   An average wholesale company that has a showroom where goods can be purchased at retail. As I already said, here you can buy a variety of hiking, fishing and hunting supplies. The choice, in my opinion, is quite good, you can look at their price list on the website. Unfortunately, it is not updated very often, but you can estimate the range. Basically, I focused on the prices of basic tourist goods - tents, sleeping bags and backpacks. However, the easiest way was to compare the cost of tourist tents, since this product is not the cheapest and is quite standardized. As I already said, except Oborontekha I liked the shops Turin. However, I found out that in Turin prices are still a little higher. For example, tent Baikal-3 in Oborontekh cost 3827 rubles, and in Turin 4200 rubles. Tent Tunguska-3 in Oborontekh - 2280 rubles, and in Turin - 2550 rubles. Well, in the same spirit as for sleeping bags and backpacks. In addition, here you can buy special clothing, dishes and other tourist accessories.

   Company Turin sells tourist equipment wholesale and retail. As you can see, they have a fairly large network of stores in Moscow. I haven't been to all the stores, but the one I've been to isn't very big. However, the necessary selection of goods is there. Although it turns out a little cramped. The prices are not bad, but, as we have already found out, higher than in Defense Tech.
   
   
3. Shopping mall Extreme

   A very famous and large shopping center that specializes in the sale of tourist equipment. Here's the company Turin there is a shop here. It seems to me that the main advantage Shopping center Extreme - a wealth of choice. You shouldn't expect particularly low prices here, although I think you can find low prices, especially if you go around more pavilions.
   
   
4. Travel equipment store Space-2000

   As I understand it, this company is engaged in both production and sales. The store on Aviamotornaya specializes in water tourism, but there is also a good selection of other tourist accessories. And the prices here are not bad, but still higher than in Oborontekh. In general, a good store.

   Another wholesale company with a network of retail stores. The company itself is interesting, but, as I understand it, they specialize in products from well-known foreign companies. This of course means high quality, but also higher prices. You can look on their website.

   A good store with a good selection of travel equipment, although I can’t say that the prices here are low. But it is problematic to compare them with other stores, since they sell different goods.

   I have already spoken quite definitely about this establishment. In terms of tourist equipment, there is nothing to do here.

   From the name, the specialization of these stores is immediately clear, but they also stock general-purpose camping equipment. However, prices for tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, etc. are not very low. But this can partly be explained by the product range of large foreign companies.

   A wholesale manufacturing company where you can buy travel equipment at retail. The assortment is limited, since the products are of our own production. And the prices were not amazing, although it is clear that it is difficult for me to evaluate the quality.
