The bridge to the Devil's Throat at Iguazu Falls welcomes tourists again
Tourists can once again access the Devil's Throat viewing platform on the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, after the path to it was closed on October 11 as a precaution due to flooding caused by prolonged rains in the river basin.
According to Urbia+Cataratas, at the peak of the flood, the water volume reached 17.7 million liters per second, while the safe limit for visiting is 8 million. Access was restored after the flow decreased to 6.8 million liters per second. Before the opening, engineers inspected the crossing and reinstalled the guardrails.
The park administration conducts continuous hydrological monitoring and warns that in the event of a new rise in water levels, the bridge will be promptly closed again.
