The Washington Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) has issued another warning for the area of Colombia's Purase volcano due to signs of a possible ash emission.
Due to dense cloud cover, experts were unable to confirm the presence of a plume on GOES-19 satellite images or ground-based surveillance cameras. According to weather models, the possible ash cloud rose to approximately FL170 (about 5.2 km) and is drifting westward at a speed of 10 knots.
