Context

The high-altitude Badimalika Plateau in Bajura District is located at an altitude of about 4,200 meters in the remote Far Western region of Nepal. The area is known for its namesake Hindu temple and vast alpine meadows, which attract thousands of pilgrims during summer religious festivals.

Due to the lack of permanent tourist lodges and shelters, routes here mostly involve autonomous crossings with tents, and the exposed ridge remains vulnerable to sudden weather changes and frequent snowfalls in the off-season and winter.
