Ilfriuliveneziagiulia reports that from Saturday 10 to Monday 12 October 2026 the Friuli Venezia Giulia alpine rescue service (CNSAS FVG) handled several mountain callouts — climbers, hikers, hunters and a motorcyclist.

On the afternoon of 10 October, on the Glemine ridge above Gemona del Friuli, a rope team needed help after an incident on the final pitch: the leader fell about ten metres onto the belayer, then slid another ten metres into a wooded gully. Both were lifted in a complex two-helicopter rescue; the leader had more serious injuries. The job finished shortly before 19:00.

That same morning on Monte Verzegnis (~1,750 m) a man suffered a medical emergency: cloud first blocked the helicopter, so ground teams reached him, then a winch lift followed. Separately on the Panoramica delle Vette near Ravascletto a German motorcyclist was winched after a crash, with Forni Avoltri and Guardia di finanza support.

On Ferrata della Memoria (Erto e Casso / Longarone) a woman trapped a foot between the cable and rock at the start of the route; Veneto rescuers with the Pieve di Cadore helicopter winched her out and walked her companion down.

On 11 October near Sella Duron (Tolmezzo) a hunter with a shoulder injury after a fall in the woods was stabilised and carried about half an hour to the road; above Oseacco (Resia) another hunter was grazed in the back by an accidental shot and winched out with CNSAS, Guardia di finanza and Carabinieri on scene.

On 12 October under the south-west faces of Jôf di Montasio (~2,300 m), four young hikers who had stayed at bivacco Suringar and were heading for Forca Disteis stopped on an exposed section after overnight snow, lacking snow/ice gear, and dialled 112. Cave del Predil, Guardia di finanza and a second regional helicopter winched them one by one (~50 m) to Piani del Montasio; none were injured.
