How to get from the airport to the center of Antalya (Kaleici)

From the airport to the center of Antalya is approximately 10 kilometers. This distance can be covered by taxi, tram or bus. Perhaps a map with the main landmarks in Antalya, as well as a marked route from the bus to the hotel, will help you along the way.

Study it carefully, print it out, save it on your phone and somewhere else. However, the phone has a habit of not picking up satellites at such critical moments. Therefore, initially tune in to communicate with the local population. Don't be shy to ask for directions.

Taxi

The easiest way is to take a taxi. Taxi drivers can use the meter or offer a fixed fare. Most likely it will cost about 100 liras (20 bucks). The taxi rank is located to the right of the central exit from International Terminal No. 1

Tram

In April 2016, in connection with the international exhibition EXPO 2016 in Antalya, the AntRay tram line was extended. Now it connects the airport with the city center and the bus station. It is quite possible that with the advent of the tram, changes will be made to the movement of buses. The tram runs every 10-20 minutes, the full schedule is here. From the city towards the airport, the first flight departs from the final destination (Fatih) at 5:40 am, and the last at 22:50. From the airport to the city, the first flight is at 6:10, and the last at 23:35. From the airport to Kaleici it takes about 30 minutes. The tram from Fatih to Kaleici takes about the same distance.

The tram stop at Antalya Airport is located directly opposite the first international terminal, just behind BurgerKing. You can check the location of this and other stops using the diagram below.

Bus

If you are not arriving at night and are willing to walk about 1.5 km, then you can save money by taking a bus (it costs about 5 liras). Please note that none of the buses pass directly through Kaleici - in any case you will have to walk.

Bus No. 800 (formerly 600A) runs once every few hours, i.e. very rarely. You most likely won't catch him.

Bus No. 600 runs several times an hour, but its stop is further from Kaleici. Schedule is attached. The fare is about 4 liras. Most likely, this is the one you will take, so I’ll tell you in more detail: You need to get off at Şarampol Caddesi, this is supposedly right after the second tunnel on the bus route. For simplicity, you can write this word on a piece of paper and show it to the driver, he will understand and drop you off where you need.

After this, you will need to go back along the bus to the Mark Antalya shopping center (colored squares on the facade) and from there walk along the pedestrian street Sharampol towards the old city. The name Mark Antalya can also be used to explain to the driver where you want to get off.

The Havas express bus goes to the central bus station (Otogar). From there you can get to Kaleici by tram (get off at the Istempasa stop). This way you will be closest to Kaleici, but in general this is the longest option to get there - you make a huge detour.

How to find buses at Antalya Airport

Regular buses are located where they are in greatest demand - opposite the terminal for domestic flights.

Antalya airport map

Antalya Airport has 3 terminals - two international and one for domestic flights - domestic. A more detailed diagram of the airport is here.

Terminal No. 1 is adjacent to the domestic one. Most planes from the CIS countries fly here.

Terminal No. 2 is located approximately 3 km from the first terminal. Planes from the CIS countries rarely fly here if you arrive at the second terminal. Then it’s best to get from there to the first one by taxi and take the bus.

If you don't know which terminal your plane will land at, check the list of airlines on the Antalya Airport website. http://www.aytport.com/user/airline.asp The terminal numbers are written next to them.

Domestic Terminal - for domestic flights. It is located between terminals 1 and 2 (closer to the first). Opposite it there is a stop for the municipal buses No. 600 and 800 you need, as well as the Havas express bus.

If you are flying to Antalya on one of the Turkish airlines (Turkish, Pegasus, Atlas) with a transfer in Istanbul, then your flight will most likely arrive at the Domestik terminal. But since your belongings must go through customs, you will be redirected to the first international terminal.

Usually it goes like this. When leaving the plane, all foreigners are asked “Where are you flying from?” and they direct you not to the corridor to the terminal, but to the bus. He will take you to the first international terminal, and that is where your luggage will be. You take it, go through control. You find yourself in the airport lobby.

Before going outside, change some dollars (no more than 20, the rate is unfavorable) or withdraw Turkish lira from an ATM. When leaving the terminal, turn right 90 degrees and simply walk along the sidewalk along the terminal building. Walk 200-300 meters. Bus number 600 usually stops right in front of the exit from the Domestik terminal.
