A feature film about the conquest of Everest will be released in September. Hollywood, famous actors and all that. Maybe pop, maybe cool. We'll deal with this later. But personally, I’m already feeling nostalgic at the sight of ancient Tribhuvan (Kathmandu Airport), sunset Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and that very bridge before going up to Namche Bazaar... I suggest immediately after the film, in October, to urgently go to Nepal and support its economy with a little trekking:)
P.S. It only now dawned on me that the film is about that same merry year of 1996 on Everest. The traditional dispute (alpsrach) Boukreev-Krakauer will receive a new impetus for development. To better prepare for the film, familiarize yourself with the positions of the opposing sides - read “The Climb” by Boukreev and “Into the thin Air” by Krakauer.

And here is the bridge I mentioned. Taken in October 2011 on our first trek to Everest Base Camp. He wasn't in doubles back then. And in the film, of course, they didn’t cover up the second tier - it looks good.
