Group gathering for hiking in Norway takes place at Ekeberg Camping in the center of Oslo. It is located on a green hill very close to the city center. The campsite has a kitchen and a hot shower (for a fee), so you can safely leave your things in the tent and go for a walk around the city.

The camping area is covered with lush green grass. The grass is well cut - there are no tussocks. True, part of the territory is located on a slope with a noticeable slope. But unlike motorists, we need very little space and this makes it easier to find a good place. There are tall trees around the perimeter - you can pitch a tent in their shade. The asphalt road goes through the territory in a loop. At its top there is a utility block - a kitchen, showers and toilets. The ticket office is located at the entrance to the campsite, next to the barrier.

How to get there

From the airport you will most likely get to the city center by train. The square in front of Oslo Central Station is called Jernbanetorget (the landmark is a tiger statue in its center). You can get from the square to the campsite by buses number 34 or 46. During the day, buses go every 15 minutes, the ride takes about 10 minutes. The bus stop is directly opposite the camping gate.

Venue

The camping area is large. Therefore, in order to be guaranteed to find each other, you need to narrow your search - agree on a meeting place in advance. In the photo below, the “island” to the right of the central alley of the campsite is highlighted in red. It is there that we will try to set up our tents and, accordingly, we will look for each other. The island is relatively close to the utility block and at the same time does not stand in the way of crowds of vacationers.
