About flooding in Carpathians

In the end of July 2008 in Carpathians have passed incessant rains, the water level in the rivers has risen, some areas have appeared are flooded, many bridges are demolished. Now the elements has calmed down, water falls down, bridges restore.

Whether the planned hikes take place?

Yes, all hikes take place. In fact flooding were below, in valleys, and our routes pass highly in mountains. There any high waters was not even during a rain (one of our groups was then on a route).

However in connection with repair of bridges changes in routes are possible. For example, the hike on Gorganam on August, 3rd will be modified and will end not in Bystritse, and in village Torun.
