Турбаза Заросляк

Заросляк - отличная стартовая точка для путешествий по Карпатам и в первую очередь для подъёма на Говерлу. С 1880 года тут существовал польский горный приют, а в конце 1950-х на его месте построили спортивную базу.

 

Oryavchik ski resort

Oryavchik is located 28 km from Skole (Lviv oblast), which is on the Kiev-Uzhhorod train route. It is just 4 km from Tysovets. Oryavchik — a young and expanding ski resort — can be reached by taxi from the Skole train station for approximately 60-80 UAH per car. We are not aware of any buses that go there. The slope has a base elevation of 850 m above sea level and a maximum elevation of over 1050 m. There is a tow lift all the way up the mountain and several runs down (see picture below). Skiing is intermediate, with a gradual slope at the bottom that is perfect for beginners.  

Peculiarities of Skiing in the Carpathians

Separate ski tows often belong to separate owners. These tows are run by locals who don't announce their work schedules. Sometimes they shut down for inexplicable reasons. Try finding this information on the Web!
Most of these ski areas are next to villages and aren't actually in the places with the best possible skiing conditions (i.e. high elevation, good topography, etc.). Most ski runs are hay fields during the rest of the year.
Horse-drawn sleds are a normal means of transport throughout the Carpathians. Hop on for a ride up to the slopes!
Skiers lose their balance and fall on the tow lifts all the time. Be prepared for frequent stops.
The level of skiing mastery in Ukraine is fairly low because people have only recently discovered downhill skiing. The majority of skiers on the slopes are beginners and lower intermediates.
Local villagers come up to the slopes and stand out in the cold all day selling tea and coffee from thermoses and home-made snacks.  

Горнолыжный курорт Ясиня

Про этот курорт незаслужено забыли. Лет десять назад, здесь сезон длился круглый год. Зимой, массовые заезды фанатов горнолыжного спорта (непосредственно в поселке имеется два горнолыжных подъемника), весной и летом, жаждущие вдохнуть свежего, кристально чистого воздуха, попить целебной, дающей здоровья воды, а осенью в этот край съезжались любители "тихой охоты". О том, какое колличество грибов и ягод дарит местная природа, трудно рассказать словами. Местные жители только белый гриб и называют грибом, а остальное, это не грибы. Впрочем правильней приехать и увидеть это все своими глазами.
 

Pylypets ski resort

Pylypets is an up-and-coming ski area 12 km to the south of the Volovets train station, which is on the Kiev-Uzhhorod train line. The ski lifts (tows, actually) are new, and there has been a lot of construction there recently. For example, some cottages have been built near the top of the new ski run, which rises to nearly 1200 m above sea level from a base of 800 m.

You can get there by taking a 2 km walk or sled ride from the center of Podobovets or by taking the taxi another 7 km or so around the mountains (approx. 18 km total from the Volovets train station where the taxis are).

 

Горнолыжный курорт Яблуница

Яблуница - находится практически на границе Ивано-Франковской и Закарпатской областей, недалеко от знаменитого Яблунецкого перевала. Расстояние до районного центра г. Яремче - около 30 км.
