Lonely Planet

In June, 2008 was published a second edition of guidebook Lonely Planet devoted to Ukraine. To great our pleasure, in this release our project OutdoorUkraine.com is mentioned.

LP recommends the readers our services on the organization of mountain hiking tours and quotes OutdoorUkraine, telling about the Crimean reserves.

Lonely Planet UkraineLonely Planet - a world famous series of guidebooks. It is published since 1973. For this time has left more than 500 specialized editions devoted to the various countries and regions.
Feature of guidebooks LP - deeply practical approach to selection of the information and orientationn first of all on backpackers. They write about culture very little, but give tourists precise recommendations on the vital issues (how to reach, where to eat, what hotel to choose).

In the autumn 2007 one of editors Lonely Planet has addressed to me with some questions on the Crimean Natural Reserve. Answering them, I also could not think, that in a year I shall see the story in the popular guidebook. Probably for this reason, I spoke not too embellishing a real state of affairs. Here that has turned out:

статья о Крымском природном заповеднике
The book has fallen to me into hands casually (one of my American clients read it). Having looked through it  a little, I have found out one more mention about OutdoorUkraine.com

Lonely Planet о проводниках Крыма
How small is the the world! Sergey Sorokin (french speaking guide) mentioned here - is the son of one of our mountain guides Vladimir Sorokin. And site TryUkraine is "managed" by my friend Rick Delong - the big fan of Crimea and the active Ultralight Backpacker.
It was pleasant to appear in such company :)
